- OpenStreetMap — roads, buildings, addresses, places and entrances (ODbL 1.0).
- Overture Maps Foundation — licensed per theme.
- Tree canopy (Almaty, Astana) — Meta and World Resources Institute, High Resolution Canopy Height Maps, CC BY 4.0; source imagery © Maxar. We changed it: grouped into height classes of 2, 5, 10 and 20 m and aggregated into cells of 2.4–19 m. registry.opendata.aws · CC BY 4.0
- Atasu Maps contributions — places and entrances added by users and checked by moderators; kept separate from OpenStreetMap data.

Method of modification
We publish how the basemap is made from OpenStreetMap, so anyone can rebuild it:
- atasu-planetiler-profile — the Planetiler profile that turns OpenStreetMap data into the vector tiles (layers, names in Kazakh, building heights)
- atasu-styles — the map styles that draw the tiles
- the osm2pgsql import configuration for search and addresses — to be published in the same way
