Atasu Maps documentation
Maps, address search with entrances and routing for Kazakhstan — SDKs, API reference and data licensing.
On this page
Atasu Maps is a map platform for Kazakhstan: an open basemap (OpenStreetMap and Overture Maps), address search that knows building entrances and flat ranges, routing to a specific entrance, and a crowdsourced layer reviewed by moderators. Labels are in Kazakh, Russian and English.
Start here
- Quick start — get a key, show a map, find an address and draw a route in about 10 minutes.
- Web SDK —
@atasu/maps-glfor browsers, on MapLibre GL JS. - Android SDK —
com.atasumaps:atasu-maps-android(internal preview). - API reference — every HTTP endpoint, generated from the OpenAPI specification.
How access works
- Keys. Each organization creates keys in the console: a web key (public, restricted to your sites' origins), a mobile key (public, restricted to your app's package name) or a server key (secret, restricted to your servers' IP addresses — never put it in a web page or an app).
- Scopes and plans. A key only gets the products its plan includes (map, search, routing, …). See rate limits and budgets.
- Map sessions. The SDKs start a map session with your key and receive a short-lived tile token; tiles are requested with that token, never with the key.
- Errors follow RFC 9457 (
application/problem+json) with a stablecode— see error codes.
